They are a bright mix of individual extra-large florets covering 24 inch plants. They tend to bloom after the frost; therefore they should be planted after this time of the year. They are excellent for cut flowers , because they have a rainbow mix of colors on tall sturdy plants. The seed needs to be planted in a well-drained soil with direct sunlight. Initially, it is best to seed them in pots indoors from February to April or at least 10 weeks prior to the last spring frost. If this is not an option, then they can be planted outdoors after all the frost has been completed and then cover the seeds sparingly with a sixteenth inch of fine soil. In mild winter areas they can be planted for the winter/spring bloom. Their blooms and plants are able to tolerate a light frost, so there is an option to plant them in the winter season. After the seedlings are between 2-3 inches high, thin them to 10-20 inches apart then replant the thinned plants. Germination can take from 7- 14 days this depends on the weather conditions.
