eBay This is a low loss, 50 ohm, double shielded coax assembly. The 15ft length is specifically made for CB radio applications. This specific length is 1/2 wavelength taking into account the velocity factor of the coax in use. In this case 83%. An exact half wavelength (or whole multiple there of ie. 15, 30, 45…) mirrors the load impedance. A perfectly tuned antenna (the load) will show a 50 ohm impedance and this is the impedance we want the transceiver to see. Using this length will give better match even when you only needed a lesser amount. We use only Genuine, Made in USA, Times Microwave™ LMR-400UF coax with silver/Teflon PL-259 Male connectors installed on both ends. Connectors have both braid AND center conductor soldered. The flexible TPE jacket is water tight and designed for a minimum service life of 10 years in outdoor installations. With a minimum bend radius of 1 inch, clean installations are a breeze. Features: Low-Loss: LMR-400 Ultra Flex has the lowest loss of any RG8/RG213 ‘type’ cable. This is achieved through the use of a high velocity gas-injected closed cell foam dielectric and bonded aluminum tape outer conductor. Flexible: With a 1-inch minimum bend radius, stranded center conductor and rubber outer jacket designed for multiple bending/ flexing cycles. Weatherproof: The black UV resistant Thermoplastic Elastomer jacket is designed for outdoor exposure, making the cable rugged and resistant to the full range of out-door environments. RF-Shielding: The bonded aluminum tape outer conductor is overlapped to provide 100% coverage, resulting in >90dB RF shielding(>180dB crosstalk) and excellent interference immunity.
