There are some great products that use the ROM slot in the bottom of your Tandy Model 100, T102 or T200 for all kinds of things, but sometimes you just want to plug in a ROM and get to work the way the machine was originally designed to roll. Maybe you just need TS-DOS installed all the time and don’t want the cost and complexity of another solution. Maybe you just want a ROM to carry around for the occasional times you need additional applications. Maybe you just want to work “old school!”That’s where this chip comes in! It works just like the original ROMs did back in the ’80s, but this one has 8 (eight!) different ROM images burned onto it, and you can pick which one your computer sees by flipping the little switches on it. It’s as simple as it can get, and you get the flexibility of carrying lots of software in a small package at a small price. The Tandy 200 version of all ROM software is different than the version for the Model 100/102, so I put the four packages that I found most useful, in both the version for the 100/102 and the version for the 200. This chip works for the 100, 102 and 200. No need to get different ones for different machines.If you have a Model 100 or 102, and want a larger selection of software, I make a 100/102-only version. Find it here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325831075611 The selection of software included is:–> TS-DOS, the ultimate disk and storage solution, and probably the reason you’re reading this listing. –> Ultimate ROM II, which contains T-Word word processing, Idea! outline processor,T-Base database management and ROM-View-80 which gives greater screen density to hold more text (but is not included on the Tandy 200 version). –> SuperROM, which contains four integrated software packages: Write-ROM, an excellent word processor, Thought- outline and creative processor, Lucid Database, and Lucid Spreadsheet. –> ROM2/Cleuseau, an enhancement ROM that builds out additional features for the ROM that is built into the machine already, as well as some excellent debugging and programming enhancements for BASIC, including the much-desired RENUM feature, which allows for program renumbering. It also has speed enhancements, program consolidation, packing, and many other features.Each chip comes packed with easy-to-follow installation instructions (in English only), and some adhesive labels for you to cut out and stick to the inside of the ROM cover on your computer for easy reference in the future.
