She didn’t live long enough to enjoy it’s benefits/use – but we were prepared. Time to clean out the closet and move forward. These TWO – EXPANDABLE – THREE SECTION DESIGNED RAMPS are NEW – NEVER USED. Still in there original plastic storage/shipping bags – See last photo. It will come with its original heavy, black nylon storage/carrying bag – as shown. What they say about this GREAT PRODUCT: When permanent ramps are not available, the MOBILITY – Aluminum Telescoping Wheelchair Track Ramps are an ideal solution. They can be set up to accommodate most four wheel wheelchairs and some scooters, regardless of the distance between wheels, and are ideal for indoor/outdoor use, short rises such as porches, stairs/steps entryways, and curbs. Able to extend to FIVE FEET or 2 FEET Five inches if fully retracted. These tracks easily deploy/telescope and lock with the simple push of a button. A durable black, nylon, storage bag makes transporting and storing these track ramps even easier. Storage bag conveniently hangs over the wheelchair handles. Your will receive: Two track ramps and a carrying bag; Dual push buttons lock the telescoping sections in place. 660 lb. Weight capacity (330 lb./track); telescopes from 2.25 Feet to a maximum of 5 Feet Long with a the high traction, black grit surface width = 3-7/8″. Maximum – clear width of each ramp = 4-5/8″ to 4-7/8″. High-strength, lightweight aluminum; 1-1/2 to 2″ side walls and high traction grit surface to keep wheels safely on the ramps.Not recommended for powered scooter or chairs, or those with offset wheels or less than 2.5 in. ground clearance of the push ring How to Measure for Wheelchair Ramps To calculate the length of the ramp you will need, first you need to measure the rise. The rise is the measurement between the ground and where the top of the ramp will be placed. The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that public areas have wheelchair ramps with an incline of 4.8 degrees or less (a ratio of 1:12). This equals one foot of ramp for every inch of rise. For residential areas such as homes, ADA recommends a 2:12 slope. This equals one foot of ramp for every two inches of rise. To calculate the ramp length you will need, divide the rise by two. For home use, these ramps would work for rises up to 10 inches in height. Next, you need to measure the width of your wheelchair’s wheels. These ramps have an inner track area of SEVEN inches. Be certain each wheel is no wider than SEVEN inches WIDE before purchasing.
