Without the lens to collimate the laser light, the light emissions from the unit are not harmful. By assembling the unit and focusing the laser light into a beam, the user takes full responsibility for the use of the device. Please Note: This is a high-power laser device, not a ?laser pointer?. It exceeds the standard power limit for laser pointers and is intended for users who understand and respect its capabilities. Tested with nearly 1 watt of optical power, this device is NOT a toy or a normal laser pointer. Never aim the beam at any living creature, aircraft, another person’s property or anything you shouldn’t! Buyer assumes all responsibility for the operation and ownership of this device. Always wear protective laser goggles rated specifically for the wavelength of this device. Even with goggles, NEVER look directly at the beam. Be cognizant of pointing the beam at objects that may reflect the light back at you or another undesired direction. IT WILL BURN!! Be careful pointing the beam, even briefly, at anything flammable or that can be damaged by heat even if the object is at a distance of dozens of yards/meters away. Do not leave the device powered on and unattended. Do not underestimate how quickly the beam can heat an object in a very short amount of time. Eye Safety: It is absolutely essential that proper laser safety goggles are used for viewing the laser beam spot at close ranges (even 20 feet away can be too bright for the naked eye). Use CE OD4+ safety goggles rated for the light wavelength of this laser device. Be careful of fake safety goggles. Look for a CE rating and the specifications printed on the lens of the goggles. Good goggles don’t have to be expensive and just because they’re expensive doesn’t mean they’re good. Maximized Internal Space: We prioritize internal real estate for the heatsink, ensuring that every millimeter is optimized to accommodate the extensive cooling system. Custom Machining for Enhanced Durability: By customizing each body through precise machining, we ensure that the device is not only capable of handling intense power but also built to last. The result is a Laser Device that stands up to the demands of maximum output use with ease and reliability. Unmatched Thermal Performance: The heart of this device is a large solid aluminum capsule, enveloping the laser diode for optimal cooling. It’s built not just to perform, but to impress. Main Power Tail Switch Assembly: The high-current switch is mounted on a thick PCB. A heavy gauge phosphor bronze spring is reinforced for greater current handling using braided copper wire. This process keeps the spring from overheating and ensures reliable operation under high loads without compromising durability. The entire switch unit is removable from the device for safety. With the switch removed, no one can activate the laser. The laser comes with a carry case for the removable switch module. Battery Power Gauge: The device is equipment with 4 leds that indicate the power level remaining in the batteries. Note that the driver may shut down the laser, or reduce to a lower power mode, before the batteries are completely run out as a safety feature. Adjustable Focus Lens: Customize your beam pattern with an adjustable focus lens. Simply twist the focus bell of the device to focus the beam anywhere from infinity to a tiny spot at a short distance that can be used for engraving/burning. Laser Lens: DTR G8. Battery: One high quality 26650 battery is included. Beam Expander Capable: A standard BE (Beam Expander) can be attached to the faceplate without the need for an adapter. The expander simply magnifies the incoming beam so that the output beam is larger/fatter. Beam expanders are available for hobby use in standard 3X and 5X values. With the safety cap installed over the switch, the button cannot be inadvertently pressed. The safety caps come with a «Remove Before Flight» tag, a lobster claw clip, and wrist strap. Use the wrist strap with lobster claw clip to attach the safety cap(s) when not attached to the laser device and keep them close by. Optional Laser Lens Protection Cap: The LPC (Lens Protection Cap) installs on the laser faceplate and covers the laser lens and therefore protecting the lens from any debris or impact. The window is made from quartz and is specifically for protecting laser lenses. The window and the cap both have high temperature tolerant silicon o-rings installed. Installing the Lens Protection Cap makes the laser device water resistant. Optional Storage Case: A high quality, heavy duty, lockable, padded, storage case is available.
