Vintage 1940s Mexican Guerrero Folk Art hand crafted and painted hammered repousse relief decorative wall art copper metal mask. Surreal depiction of a woman’s face set into a crescent moon, with two rabbits depicted at the top and bottom of the moon. Dangling earrings on each ear. Open grimacing mouth. Two crescent shaped eye holes. Attached nose. Hand painted front surface. Unpainted backing with a darkened tarnished finish. Copper chain attached at back for wall hanging. Unmarked, unsigned, no labels or tags. Uncertain of artisan. In VG+ vintage condition with light general signs of age and wear, some faint scratches to painted front surfaces. Measures approximately 15 inches tall, 13 inches wide, and 2 inches deep. Weighs approximately 1 lb. Will weigh between 3 and 4 lbs packaged. More pics upon request.
