– BRAND NEW — HIGH-END COLLECTOR – – LIMITED: 1 OF 429 – Description:1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 from Acme & Supercar Collectibles in 1:18This version is made by ACME using the Highway 61 Boss 429 toolingLimited Edition of 429 units worldwide, with numbered plate inside the trunkCondition is new, model shown was just out for photos you’ll get a sealed oneHere are some history behind this unique model: The Boss 429 engine came to be Ford’s solution to the Hemi powered cars that were dominating Nascar. But for the engine to be used in Nascar, it had to be used on the streets also and that’s where the Mustang Boss 429 came in. That Green Silver Jade wasn’t a paint color choice for any Boss 429, in fact, this Boss should have been painted Raven Black, but an error was made at the factory in Dearborn and it ended up being painted Silver Jade. The Mustang spent the rest of the 1969 model year at Kar Kraft since Ford wasn’t sure what to do with this unusual Boss… In the 1970 model year the car was offered up for sale to dealers and that’s how this Mustang made its way to Denver. There it was sold to one very lucky customer.
