You are bidding on Brand New Gurkha Villagers Kukri 12″ Carbon Steel Blade, Rose wood handle & Camouflage brown leather sheath 12 inches Long WWI replica version of the kukri carried by Gurkhas in hand-to-hand combat in the Jungle of Nepal during the 1’st World War. This is most historically model khukuri (kukri) which gave Gurkhas and whole Nepalese people are the victory of Gurkhas during the 1st war time. Probably the most renowned fighting knife in the world is the kukri, the wickedly curved kukri of the Gurkhas of Nepal. It is Historic Kukri. The kukri base on Full tang construction. The blade is flat, light by weight and comfortable to carry. I strongly recommend that the wooden parts on all kukri are treated with the appropriate oil and wood treatment prior to use. My kukris are traditional handmade kukri, made in Nepal, and not the usual export and tourist kukri found on many others. Overall details: Blade: 12inches long Handle: 5.5inches long Weight: 950grams kukri and scabbards Since all my khukuris are hand-made, variances in size, weight wood color etc may well occur. This kukri is a very functional for fighting piece. Product Dimensions:: Overall Length: 17.5 inches •Blade: The blade is made of high graded Carbon steel and has been poured the cold-water temper on the blade that makes the blade very strong. Thickness at spine of the blade is about 5mm from bolster and gradually drops toward the tip and edge of the blade. It’s 12″ Long. The widest part of blade is 6cm at the middle of the blade. The total weight of the blade (and handle) is about 650 grams. * Scabbard: Cotton wood Covered with thick and decorated brown camouflage leather. The scabbard has single frogs which are leather loops used to attach to the belt. •Handle: The Iron fittings handle is made of beautiful stripped through very hard rose wood and it has 5.5 inches long. This Khukuri however, has a uniquely distinct handle where the metal of the blade in the handle area is flat and not narrow and pointed as in other knives (full flat tang). • Two small knives; Karda & Chak-mak: Every Khukuri comes with 2 small knives. The Chak-mak (blunt) is used as flint tool and sharpener the blade. Using the Chak-mak against the edge of the Khukuri to and fro does the traditional method of sharpening a Khukuri. The other knife accompanying Chak-mak is the Karda that is used for skinning purposes. Information of kukri: All the Kukris are handmade at Nepalese Khukuri House’s own factory in Nepal by Bishwakarmas(Burn to kukri makers) of the Kami caste. No machines used to work and shape this blade. They are hand forged and hammered. Therefore, sizes are given as very close approximations. Hand forging will produce slight variations. All the Kukris are made of high grade Carbon Steel and finished quality woods, horn and metal finishing. Our Kukris are REAL made by hereditary craftsmen, using genuine traditional techniques & implementations. Our Kukri is NOT Stainless Steel made. They are made of Carbon Steel.
